Shoe Bomb-er

A large percentage of Republicans are silently laughing and cheering Donald Trump's verbal assault on Obama and his open contempt for the Press. Think of it in terms of how the Left reacted to the Iraqi reporter throwing his shoes at then President Bush during a press conference. Admittedly, some on the Left weren't so silent about their glee over this event; MSNBC and CNN put the incident on a loop and ran it endlessly as a proxy for their contempt of George Bush. Imagine the righteous indignation on the Left if that had been Obama; now imagine the rapturous feelings generated within Conservatives at seeing Obama humiliated in like manner. Conservatives may play this dream scenario over and over again in their heads, but know it will never happen in reality. As a proxy for their true, slient feelings, Donald Trump symbolically throwing his shoes at Obama will have to suffice.

Trump plays a mean fiddle

BHO finally released his birth certificate to the world and to the relief of the MSM. The inside Washington take is that Trump was the loser in this episode. Guess again...the real losers are the "in-the-tank" media propping up Obama. After all, wasn't it the Washington establishment Sunday talk show reporters that never missed an opportunity to hang the "birther" issue around the neck of any Republican guest. Then along comes Trump asking a simple question: "where is the certificate?". He spent three weeks bringing this issue up to anyone that would listen. Finally, the White House press secretary was asked about it openly. This wasn't a question designed to illicit a real answer; the reporters in that room could care less. No, it was a desperate plea to the administration to end this quickly, since Trump was winning the PR war of public perception. Obama can act as indignant as he wants, but the fact that he was speaking about it at all is proof that the polls on this weren't good for the White House. The MSM attempt to build a narrative leading into the 2012 election has backfired. In that regard, Trump has given the cowered GOP a gift; don't expect to hear any "birther" questions from a reporter anytime soon. The presidential debates will be "birther" question free as well. Trump beat the MSM at their own game by changing the narrative; he played them like a fiddle.

Van Jones, Pantheist

In a move to further cement his credentials as a far left nut, Van Jones proposes that we give Mother Earth human rights. In normal times, such a pronouncement would illicit laughter. But these aren't normal times. Now, I don't believe for a second that Jones worships nature or the earth. This is yet another naked attempt to push a "global warming" agenda that has declared war on fossil fuels. Or is it another attempt at "wealth re-distribution"? Are these two agendas compatible? Since Van Jones is an admitted communist, I would think his agenda is the latter; the former agenda is a means to an end. Like-minded zealots in the USA tried to pass a Cap and Trade system (Jones was part of that push as well). Having failed in the USA, the fight has moved to the U.N. We must fight the enemies within as well as those without.

The clock is ticking...

As a reaction to POTUS giving the Repubs in Congress the middle finger over the proposed Paul Ryan 2012 budget, S&P downgraded the US debt outlook rating to 'negative'. You can debate whether these two events are related, but you have to leave coincidence out of the equation. The White House reaction...S&P's announcement is politically motivated. Since when has S&P been a political organization? The White House obfuscates and the press corp nods in agreement. Given these kinds of pronouncements from the press secretary, one can't help but wonder if BHO's administration is truly as incompetent as it appears. My guess is that despite all the public pronouncements and posturing, the WH is on the ropes with this one. BHO hits the campaign trail to talk about budget cutting instead of what he really wants to do: promise more bread and circuses to the hoi pilloi. That the party of government has been driven to this point is a true indication of how critical the situation really is. At this point, BHO is making an attempt to minimize the damage done by decades of Statist policies. The Dems are the party of government; our government is broke and appears totally incompetent or unwilling to deal with the debt crisis. Stay tuned...don't believe what is said in public by politicians...believe what actions are taken to deal with the situation.

It's not a secret, Mr President

BHO thinks the Repubs in Congress are trying to "sneak" the defunding of ObamaCare past him in the recent budget bill. There is no "sneaking" to this. It is a stated goal of the conservatives in Congress to repeal the health care bill. Of course once you realize this is a fund raising event and the goal is to get the audience to throw money at you, outrage is an over-reaction. In fact, "do they think we're stupid" comment is kind of tame in comparison to the "bitter clingers" comment.

Olbermann is no SE Cupp Fan

Keith Olbermann was let out of his straight jacket long enough to get to a phone and tweet. Maybe he should have taken his meds instead. He "tweeted" that SE Cupp's parents should have taken advantage of Planned Parenthood services before conceiving SE. Now it's not clear which "services" he had in mind when "conceiving" this brain fart, but Olbie followed this tweet with another tweet clearing the matter up in his own mind. Then he turned to the doctors and asked to go back to his room. The doctors weren't taking any chances; the straight jacket stays on.

Bill Maher makes the Shun List

Let me start by saying that I used to be a Bill Maher fan. I watched Polically Incorrect every night and even lasted through the two seasons of Real Time on HBO. However, Maher has made it increasingly clear that he doesn't want conservative fans (me). Fair enough...I don't have to listen to you if I don't want to. So, how did Maher make the Shun List? It has been an accumulation of comments and rants over the past couple of years. The final straws came by using the "C" word in reference to Sarah Palin and now openly declaring that he hates Republicans as much as Rachel Maddow. Sorry Billy, you are persona non grata.

BHO speaks, Biden sleeps

If anyone doubts that Biden was sleeping during the POTUS speech at GWU, just look over his right shoulder at the women behind him. She is having a problem staying awake as well. The audience must have been served a big meal prior to the start of this speech.

Nancy Pelosi is at it again...quote "To my Republican friends: take back your party. So that it doesn’t matter so much who wins the election..." I'm not surprised that a Marxist/Socialist would find elections inconvenient. I fear for the Republic if she EVER gets her hands on power again.
